Highlights

The first time he caught people’s eye with an unbeaten 31-ball 61 for Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2015. Evenmore, Pandya displayed greater consistency in the Syed Mushtaq Ali domestic T20 tournament in January 2016. He finished as the leading run-getter, for Baroda, with 377 runs in 10 innings at an average of 53.85. 

Despite being highly noted for his powerful batting, Pandya didn’t slow down at all with the sparks. It was his all-round skills that caught the attention of the T20 franchises during the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament, and it did bring him a national contract. Pandya’s performance was soon rewarded when he was named in India’s ODI squad for the home series against New Zealand in 2016. By this time, he had worked hard on his swing bowling skills, and was hitting the 140s regularly, annoying the batsmen and troubling them with his length. 

As the time goes by, Hardik Pandya now is the captain of Gujarat Titans, a youngster of IPL 2022. With his aggressive batting and medium-fast bowling style, he certainly got to climb back since his back injury and issue in 2018.
